I've downloaded my eBook for review, and I need help.
Why can't I open my eBook?
You won't be able to view your eBook on your computer until you've downloaded eReader software. You're computer doesn't have the capabilities to open and view your eBook properly without software that knows how to read the file. Please refer to the active steps in your author account for more information on downloading eReader software and opening your eBook.
Why doesn't it look the same as my print book?
Your eBook will never look just like your print book. eReaders are limited in the way they display content, so we simply cannot recreate all of the same design elements that are in your print book. In additon, your eBook will look different depending on what eReading device you view it on or what software you're using on your computer. Different eReaders and different software programs display content differently. Read more about the Differenes between eBooks and Print Books.
Where is my eBook's cover?
The cover is embedded in the eBook file, however, it may not display, or may display differently, depending on the capabilities and design of the eReading device or program used to view the file. Some devices and programs, like all of the Kindle products, display the cover as the first page of your eBook. Other eReaders, like the iPad, will display your cover on the device's bookshelf, and will also display it oppossite the table of contents, which is accessed by clicking a special icon while reading the book. Again, the way the cover displays will vary depending on the device/program.
Where is my Table of Contents?
The Table of Contents is built into the specific device or program used to view the eBook. Many devices and programs, such as the iPad, Nook, Sony Reader, etc. require you to click a special icon while reading the book that will pull up a table of contents. If you are reviewing your eBook using the Sony Reader program, try clicking the icon in the lower right that looks like a list. The Kindle happens to display the ToC as a page within the book. The way the ToC displays and functions will depend on the program or device used.
I can't get my eBook onto my eReader, who can I talk to?
